Hey,

I have two Airport Extremes in my flat, but the signal in the far bedroom is very weak. Even though on iPhone I have zero problems with 3 bars 5GHz wifi, the HomeKit devices in that room only support 2,4GHz and that is somehow very weak in that room.

Besides, sometimes devices just dont respond at all, or even the modem behind the routers crashes because of too many devices which it can’t handle. So it‘s both a matter of range and stability with many devices.
The flat itself only has 60 square meters but solid stone walls and many interfering WiFi’s. And the main router is sitting in one corner and needs to cover the entire flat, it‘s not sitting in the middle.
Any thoughts on that?

I use the Eero Pro mesh (4 routers and two beacons... probably overkill) in a 3000 sq ft house and my HomeKit has been very reliable on this network. Even while many are complaining that they’re not able to view their Logitech Circle 2 cameras remotely through the Apple Home app, I have been able to. I have somewhere around 50 devices connected to it and no issues at all. Plus Eero is supposed to be included in the initial launch of Apple HomeKit enabled routers, whenever that launches.
