The iPad Air got an unexpected name along with the all-new lighter, thinner, and smaller design, A7/M7 chips, and faster Wi-Fi with MIMO.

Notably though its missing a few features like Touch ID which is bound to appear in the next iPad.

Which feature are you looking more towards too?

Don't get me wrong, I like iOS 7, but I'd probably be most excited for iOS 8, assuming it takes better advantage of the increased screen real estate (compared to the iPhone, that is)

I'd also expect to see 802.11ac, faster SoC, 1.5-2GB of RAM, hopefully 32GB starting SSD size (or 32GB for $100 cheaper), 1080p FaceTime camera, 8MP iSight camera (whatever the iPhone currently uses), TouchID, improved speakers, and maybe (but probably not) a flash on the rear.

Always find it funny people say they don't take pictures with an iPad "as it's too big" yet a lot call for better camera, why if they don't take pics with it.

The specs game is DEAD now IMO it's clearly for games you will see the 2x improvements with minimal gains in web browsing. small gains with opening apps.

The next iPad is going to need to level up, not just add one more incremental feature. It needs to start being on par with the iPhone.

1) add flash to rear camera
2) Touch ID
3) boost RAM by at least 50%

Starting storage at 32GB at the $499 price point would be nice but its the biggest profit center for the iPad so doubt that would happen or need to happen if the above is added.

Because they're different people, Einstein. Most people would know that without having to ask.

I'd say they need to boost ram by 100%, ie, doubling it.
