I can't imagine spending that kinda cash on a G4 Mini when refurb Core Duos are like 519, in mint condition and with a full year of applecare. Core Duo chips absolutely SMOKE G4s. I personally wouldn't drop more than like $250 on a G4 mini with stock RAM, but I know that's below market value for whatever reason. :)

I think $400 or so. Anyway, keep in mind that the G4 takes more expensive RAM and can handle less of it. That's a real negative, because with a slow CPU you need lots of RAM.

FYI used and refurb minis are a little tough to get now. I think they're very popular systems.

I wouldn't buy a desktop system now anyway until Apple updates the current line of iMacs and until they clear up the future of the mini as a product.

Just picked up one of the rare 1.5ghz g4's with the 64mb vid card, bluetooth 2.0 + 54g, 80gig hdd and combo drive for $330US. Personally I wouldnt pay much more for one.
