Motion 2 Trial Issues

I recently downloaded the trial version of Motion 2 on my Macbook Pro (2.33 ghz, 2 GB of RAM - if that helps). And for some reason, when I open up a new project, it automatically shuts down. I can't open anything without it shutting down on me.

Any advice?
