I updated quicktime from 7.3 to 7.4 this morning and noticed a codec I use on a daily basis "Motion JPEG A" is no longer available as an export option in either Quicktime or Final Cut, along with some other older codecs (ie Motion JPEG B), yet I can not find a mention of this in the release notes.

Any ideas? Has any one heard/had mention from apple that they were removing these codecs?

Cheers
Owen

Apologies for my brash, with a little more digging I found a solution.

For anyone else in the same mess, if you go to the "Quicktime" panel in system prefrences, and then navigate to the advanced tab and select "Show legacy converters".

Restart Quicktime/Final Cut and you're set.
