Motion or After Effects for this project....

I have a logo and the animation is as follows:

1) have the logo enter into the scene (Effect to be decided)
2) have a button that gets depressed automatically (no finger press needed)
3) have two letters in the logo change colors.

Is this something that motion can handle or is it a job for AE (steps 2 and 3)?

It depends what you're better at using. I'm sure that Motion can handle that, but I could do it in After Effects in 5 minutes...

If you don't know how to use AE, then Motion is the obvious choice, and vice-versa.
