Hi,

Looking to set a motion sensor to trigger a hot water recirculated pump in home. But want it to only trigger once when you walk into the room.. then ignore movement for 60 minutes.

Is there a way I can do this with a scene? The motion sensor I got doesn't seem to have params for setting a refractory period..

I could theoretically handle this on both trigger and action ends.
Trigger - Motion Sensor
Action - Outlet On for 5 minutes

Desire is to suppress any additional triggering for 60 minutes following activation

Although debunked how iHome had one. Most people want things to stay on when they are in the room. So they got a ton of bad reviews because the motion sensor would trigger and immediately start its countdown. The lights or whatever or turn off when you were still in the room.

After that debacle it might be hard to find something unless no one learned anything.

Curious, what sort of recirc pump do you want to come on and why in this manor? Just curious...

The recirculator has a thermostat incorporated so once you trigger it, it would come to temp and then turn off which was the desired behavior.

I realized that I could just trigger it and extend the time in for 60 minutes. Since the thermostat would turn off the pump, it didn’t matter that I was still providing power to the system.
