This phone is good for anyone, not just tweens and a first smart phone

just an fyi - you will get both 3G/LTE on both AT&t and Tmobile network!

im glad that some companies are still including sd card slot for easy and cheap storage expansion.

tough competition ahead. I'd also check out One+ONE device. already praised highly and offers flagship features/components at fraction of price.

The only thing I didn't like from the og Moto G was the 16 GB maxed storage with no way to expand it. Now for $20 more, I have an option to put in a 32 GB card and LTE. I still regret never getting the M7 64 GB option last year. I have to keep deleting files or adding some back in. I'm on a Hawaiian tour. Took a few short HD videos (under 30 seconds) and about 110 photos. It now ate up 400 MB in just THREE days. I haven't even traveled to the Big Island yet. I have to delete maybe one HD movie that is 1.3 GB to clear up more space.

Moto E didn't impress me. This one did even it is a rehash of the same highly popular phone.

Even with the sd card slot I'm a little disappointed they don't have at least a 16gb option. 8gb will get used up quick with data that can't be moved to the sd card.

I have the first model of Moto G with 16Gb of flash storage. Reason I bought this one is because it has vanilla Android (Kitkat ! - not even the Samsung Galaxy S3 will get Kitkat).
Personally, I don't miss LTE on mine, but a SD card slot might have come in handy. Still, not complaining, far from it. Stellar phone for its price...

My previous smartphone was an iPhone 4S, which my wife now uses. She was already hooked on our iPad 2, now she's hooked on the iPhone as well :D

??? They have a 16GB option. Not sure what you are referring to?

There's a 16gb option with LTE? I only see an 8gb option.

I thought that the new 4G Moto G was only coming out in 8gb (with microSD).

Too few people wanting the original 16gb option probably.

The Moto G was tempting but the lack of SD card support stopped me. Now there isn't any excuse for me to not get one of these devices. :D
