Great deal!!

I've heard great things about this phone especially since I have the Moto X+ in the Nexus 6.

Yep. I'm selling my Nexus 5 and 2013 Moto X on swappa and buying the 2014 Moto X today with the money. Can't let this deal go.

Edit:
Done and bought. 2014 Moto X on the way which will match my Moto 360.

With the recent big dollar sales of the Moto360 and now the Moto X I would wager to say yes.

yep...time to clear out the existing inventory ahead of the new Moto X 2015? Funny though I haven't heard any rumors about the phone at all!

Wasn't last year's Moto X around Sept? This might be too early...

Could actually just be a mother's day sale thing. Motorola seems to have sales very often.

Google I/O is in a couple of weeks. Motorola might have an announcement or 2 to make around that time (new 360 plus new Moto X). They announced the 2014 Moto X at Google I/O last year, so not unprecedented.

Ah...great point. They did announce the 360 and Moto X last year at Google I/O. I would love to see a better camera and processor spec bump in the Moto 2015.

Google Now has been funneling rumor stories about the X '15 coming sometime early fall. No real specifics of specs at this point. First real discount price on the '15 won't be until CyberMonday, so this price now, six months earlier is pretty good.

~~~
Haven't checked whether this deal is also good for the VZW version (Pure Edition not available for VZW), but I can confirm that the VZW version has very minimal bloatware, certainly the least of any VZW Android phone.
Ohh! Gotcha. Well then, should be all the more interesting.
Can I assume you have the VZW version? Can you unlock the BL and root the VZW version? I know the pure edition on AT&T and TMO you can unlock the BL and root. But I head the VZW version was locked down?
I do have the VZW version, but sorry I don't know if unlocking/rooting is possible. Check XDA - if it's possible it would likely be posted there.
And just like that, specs leaked:
Big battery. Wonder how it'll look.
I am curious to see what it looks like. It is interesting that they followed LG and are using the Snapdragon 808 processor staying away from the 810 Snapdragon. This kind of cements the rumors about the issues with the 810.
I don't believe the specs. These don't look like Motorola specs, but rather an LG G4/Optimus mix.
Yeah who knows if real. And I don't know why but it seems disappointing. Really no reason why it seems that way.
