Motorola DVR/Time Warner Cable

I have an HD DVR provided by my cable company, a Motorola DCT3400. I'd like to download some of the recordings and am not sure where to start.

The DVR has a host of available outputs in the rear, I have a Macbook Pro runing Tiger.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it
