The Motorola Moto Maxx (GSM version of the Droid Turbo) was announced for Brazil and Mexico yesterday.. I am eagerly waiting for a European release.

The likely specifications for a release are:

  • Black Ballistic Nylon edition ;)
  • 1440 x 2560 pixel (Super AMOLED) 5.2 inches screen (565 ppi) - Corning Gorilla Glass 3
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 (Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 and Adreno 420)
  • Android OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat), planned upgrade to v5.0 (Lollipop)
  • 64GB ROM (no SD card) and 3GB RAM
  • Primary camera - 21 MP (5248 x 3936), autofocus, dual-LED flash with video 2160p@24fps, 1080p@30fps and secondary camera - 2 MP, 1080p
  • HSDPA, HSUPA; LTE, Cat4, 150 Mbps DL, 50 Mbps UL and 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band
  • Bluetooth v4.0, A2DP, LE, NFC, Infrared, microUSB v2.0, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, active noise cancellation with dedicated mic and GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS
  • Non-removable Li-Po 3900 mAh battery - fast battery charging: 60% in 30 min (Quick Charge 2.0) and wireless charging

The only downside for me is the capacitive buttons (especially the pre-Lollipop look)!

Com'on Motorola give the Europeans.. the Moto Maxx! :)

If Moto brought out a Euro GSM version of this, I'd be all over it. It's like my Moto X 2014 on done right (except for the metal casing on the X which I love)
