I'm trying to get a Mark of the Unicorn FastLane USB MIDI interface working with my iMac. My iMac is a late 2012 27" model running 10.13.6 High Sierra.

The iMac won't recognize it though. It doesn't show up in System Report in the USB section and Garage Band can't detect any MIDI inputs. The interface does have lights that show when there is MIDI data coming from the keyboard controller though, so obviously it is at least getting power from the USB connection.

Is this interface just too old to work with this iMac or High Sierra? It is fairly old in that it has a translucent green case from back when iMac G3s were common. I have found driver software for it on MOTU.com, but after installing it, it still doesn't work.

On a hunch, I connected a USB hub to the iMac and connected the FastLane to that. Now the FastLane shows up in the USB device tree in System Report, but Apple Audio MIDI Setup app still doesn't see it and neither does Garage Band.

**** out of luck I guess.
