Hey all,
I have a WD MyBook that suffered a power supply failure. Western Digital refuses to fix the thing and will only offer the option to mail me a replacement unit.
Of course the real value is the 500 GB+ of data I have on the drive.
With the hope of getting the thing back up and running I mounted the disk manually with a Themaltake dual drive. Its sees both disk drives but does not recognize the existing JBOD RAID configuration, as expected.
Mac OS X Disk Utility sees both drives but will not mount them since it sees the JBOD configuration as broken.
I'm hoping their is a way via software raid to remount the existing JBOD mount and backup the data on the drives. Anyone know of a solution. Even getting one of the drives to mount would be a win!
Thanks for any help or ideas.
