I had a JustMobile AluRack some years ago for my MacBook and Thunderbolt Display. It was pretty neat, but it seems that JustMobile is out of business and I can't find any similar options for an ASD. Granted it hasn't been out all that long.

Anyone know of anything similar that might fit on an Apple Studio Display?

Wow, I won't have the guts to keep my MBP in that holder. A move of the monitor or catching the cable and you can kiss goodbye your MBP !.

Better also to keep the MBP with the air vent up, not down as shown in the picture, in order to improve thermals.

I am using a bamboo magazines holder, lots of models on Amazon, under $20.

If you have a makerspace around you, try and hit them up and see if someone would be willing to design such an object for you ;)

Actually, I had one of these years ago for a Thunderbolt Display and a MacBook Pro. Never had the issues you mentioned, although the monitor was pushed up a against a wall. The Airvent point is well taken - although I never had a problem.

I'm currently use the TwelveSouth BookArc. It's nice enough, I just liked the AluRack better because it lifted the MacBook off my desk and gave me that little bit of space back.

Actually - that's not a bad idea. I have a friend who makes custom steel brackets for engineering projects. I might ask him about it.
