mount nikon coolpix as a drive?

I have a nikon coolpix s560. When I connect it to my mac (10.4) it launches iPhoto. I want to just mount the thing as a drive and manually copy over the image files. Any idea how I can make this thing do that (or why it won't)?

Banging my head against the wall.... :mad:
