mount .toast image without toast in leopard?

Hi everyone,
thanks in advanced for the help.
i have a large .toast image or file or whatever you would call it and i need to open it or mount it, but i dont have toast.
in googleing it i read that in panther or something disk utility would do it, but in leopard it wont.
i have leopard.
is there an application or something u know of that i can download that will convert it to something i can use?
is this impossible without buying toast?
