Hey, my friends windows laptop was half destroyed but the hard drive was completely fine, I removed it and put it in an enclosure and I'm now trying to mount it to my iMac and transfer my friend's pictures, music ect.

It has two partitions of 8.30gb and 151gb, I'm assuming the 151gb is where all the photos ect are stored? The 151gb partition is NTFS, will I need a windows computer to mount it? Hard drives ect really isn't my strong point! If someone could help it would be greatly appreciated

You shouldn't need anything to read an NTFS disk. OS X will read them just fine, you would just need a program like NTFS-3G to write to a drive.

If its not mounting then there is probably something wrong with the drive. It's worth trying on a windows machine probably though. Sometimes I find trying to access it on one and then another somehow makes it able to mount.
