Mountain Lion Macbook early 2009

So I have a recently acquired an early 2009 Macbook (white), to mainly use as a school computer. I have it currently running Lion. I also have a Mac Pro running Mountain Lion, and I'm considering installing Mountain Lion on the Macbook as well.

Is there any reason NOT to install Mountain Lion on the Macbook? Would there be any decrease in performance etc.?

It should be fine. Some have reported improvements in performance after upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion
