Hi,

Has anyone installed Mountain Lion on a 2008 (or earlier) White/Black MacBook using MLPostFactor? (MLPostFactor is a hack that allows you to install ML on older models: http://www.osxhackers.com/Installation.html)

I am upgrading my MacBook to a SSD and 4 GB of RAM, I am curious if this is enough to run Mountain Lion smoothly.

Thanks!

Yes 4GB is fine for running ML, Both on supported macs and unsupported macs running MLPostFactor. I'd also recommend having a look over in hackerwaynes unsupported mac thread over in the mountain lion section.

Post ML - DMGs give No Mountable File Systems

So I'm all postfactored but I'm having a few issues mounting DMGs under Mountain Lion.

I get a 'no mountable file systems' error for DropBox among others but cannot figure how to resolve the issue. I've been googling a lot, but the DMGs just do not want to mount. I've attached a grab for you.

Do any of you fine people know of a solution?

Some DMGs do work...

Might I add that some DMGs work just fine under MLPostFactor, just others such as DropBox, do not mount.

Any help will be greatly apprecitated.

Cheers,

Rob
