Does it run well? Good battery life?

My brother has it still running on some 10.6.x version, never bothered with lion.

it's a c2d 2gb model.

ML and Lion to me is like Windows 7 (ML) and Windows Vista (Lion).

ML is much faster, but with only 2gb of ram, i'd stick with the SL.

Looks like it should fly according to Apple's 10.8 requirements page.

But I'd let someone else go first before I took the plunge.....

Mountain Lion on late 2010 c2d 2gb... flies compared to Lion and SL. Glad I updated.

I have an 11" 2010 ultimate and ML runs well on it. I've never had to live within 2GB, but I assume it would be ok. ML doesn't seem any slower or memory hungry than Lion.
