Hello people, I'm new here. My name is Marcos and I one Mac user, I like PC too, used for years, but I prefer Mac. I need to use Mountain Lion system, but my Mac has EFI32 (Mac Pro 1.1) and supports up to Lion.

I know that it's possible to use Mountain Lion or newer, but I have some doubts:

1- As the motherboard uses an EFI32 configuration, if I run one 64-Bit system, it can crash the motherboard or the motherboard, graphics card, RAM etc... won't be crushed just because I am running one exclusive 64-Bit system?
2- As I have one 8800 GT 1st generation (I use one original graphics card for Mac), I am thinking about not downloading any drivers or CUDA drivers, just use the generic drivers, if I download drivers it can crash the graphics card, as it uses EFI32 system or it's ok to install Mountain Lion drivers?
3- I will have to flash the graphics card to EFI64 rom or it's ok running Mountain Lion with one 8800 GT (for Mac) with EFI32?

Thanks people!

Please search for some of the threads that explain how a custom boot.efi creates a shim to run 64bit system through El Capitan on the 1,1 and 2,1. Apart from the boot.efi file, the installation is pretty much stock.
