Two days ago I upgraded my late 2008 MacBook to Mountain Lion, then SuperDuper-ed my 250mb hard drive onto a 1tb hard drive, and put the 1tb in my computer. As soon as I had the new hard drive in place, I ran time machine. It took a while, as expected, but it backed up everything without a hitch (and I've "gone into" time machine and can see the backup).

My problem occured when I tried to run my second back up since upgrading to ML. I attached my TM and it "prepared" just fine - it didn't seem any longer than normal. Then it moved on to "cleaning up old backups" and it continued to do this for several hours (I'd estimate four hours before I gave up on the process).

Any suggestions or solutions?

Thanks!
