I could be wrong (and probably am), but I seem to recall that when I mounted a DMG in the past it would bring the mounted Finder window to the front. For instance, when I download a DMG in Chrome and click on the completed download in Chrome, I thought it would bring the Finder window to the front so I can drag the app into the Applications folder (or run the installer, or whatever). It doesn't do that and I have to tab through windows or click on Finder in the Dock. Has it always been this way or did I change something inadvertently?

I just tried it in Safari under OS X 10.6 and it did bring the Finder window to the foreground. Maybe Chrome handles it differently..?

Thanks for replying. Hmm, Chrome must be launching in the background then. I wonder if it is a setting somewhere...
