I need to reformat my hard drive in order to get boot camp to partition the drive so i need a way to transfer all my data across to another hard drive, reformat and then move (most of it) back.

I happen to have a brand new 320GB hard drive that my dad bought and then didn't need. Trouble is, it wont fit in my laptop but it will fit in a PC.

Is there a way of putting the hard drive into a PC, formatting it (i dont know if this stage is needed or not), and cabling up the computers in such a way that the macbook can mount the hard drive and maybe even booting from it?

Or if you can think of an easier solution then that'd be helpful too!

Cheers!
