Hey, is there any program that can disable mouse acceleration, allows to change the speed of cursor and is compatible with magic mouse? I use Mouse Acceleration, but it doesnt allow me to change the senstivity of cursor.. Thanks.

I dont use it just for gaming. The only thing I want is to be able to use magic mouse gestures, to have disabled acceleration and reasonable speed of the cursor.. And I simply cant find a proper utility.

I'm used to win7, so for me the normal behavior of mouse on mac is really annoying. That's why I seek some utility, which can fix it at first place..

I've never had a problem, i use both platforms and i think the magic mouse is by far the most superior mouse I've ever used.

is it just the curser thats the problem, moving too fast? or are you using the natural method (witch seems like the mouse is working the opposite way than your used to)

i honestly would like to help but I'm still not sure what problem you are encountering.

the one common thing is, i personally would not use the accelerator app you have for normal use on a mac. you really don't need it.

If I dont use any utility to change the behavior of mouse on mac, it is somehow accelerated (I think quite a lot of people have problem with it: http://goo.gl/Mw0pN). In win7, you can turn this off, yet on mac you can't. I'm really used to have the "normal" behavior of mouse from earlier versions of Windows, so the acceleration is really annoying for me. So, that's pretty much my problem, turn off the acceleration. :)

hi again friend, i think if you quit the 'accelerator utility' (that you mentioned in your earlier post) completely and then go sys/prefs mouse. I'm sure you could set the mouse exactly to your liking.

or could the mouse itself be at fault?

Can't believe people have such a hard time understanding this problem. I got a Magic Mouse recently and the acceleration is just slowing me down all the time, overshooting cursor is the most annoying thing.

Did you find a solution?

I refuse to be be a fanboy and settle with mediocre features. I will have to go back to my Logitech, it works just the same on both systems.

I did not actually. I just got used to it... And i think that magic mouse is really kinda ****** overall, for instance the ergonomics is terrible as well.
