Is there any way to tweak (or turn off) the mouse acceleration in OS X 10.3? Ever since I got a powerbook I have never been happy with the way the mouse worked. It's driving me absolutely crazy... I feel like I'm a three year old learning how to use the mouse for the first time -- The mouse acceleration in OS X totally screws up my mousing accuracy.

Help!

Try downloading SideTrack. It's a replacement mouse/trackpad driver for OS X. It's free, and works really well. I use it for my trackpad, but I know that you can adjust the settings for the scrolling accelleration. Give it a shot.

Also, try OnyX. I'm not sure if the options are in there, but I know that it will let you adjust quite a bit.

Hope it helps.
