I'm having some strange issue with my year old iMac running OS X 10.7.4, after clicking on a menu item on the top menu bar, the drop down menu that appears, disappears instantly. This also happens when right clicking on the desktop or on an application in the dock. It's as if single clicks are getting counted as double clicks. It's not a problem with my Apple wireless mouse, i also tried a wired logitech mouse and had the same problem. This does not always happen, sometimes, everything seems to be working fine, but sometimes it keeps happening constantly.

Also another issue i'm having is with my wireless keyboard. Sometimes pressing the shift key and W does not work, instead of getting a capital W nothing happens. I can get a capital W with caps-lock or right shift, but not using the left shift key, which works for all other letters.

I'm not sure if both problems are related, but i started experiencing them only after doing a software update to OS X version 10.7.4.
