for lack of a better word...

I just started noticing it last night, if I rest my finger on the mouse button it will move down a little (not even noticeable) but it also make a clicking noise.

When I go to click the button it sounds like it is clicking twice.

I just got the MBP not a month ago, and it is very annoying! The button works fine and all but the click noise is killing me!

do you think it is worth calling apple care about?

The closest Apple store is 2 hours away. So it would probably have to be repaired or replaced via fedex (I assume that is who they use)

Remove your battery to see if that's what is pushing up on the trackpad and making the button sticky.

ok, i just installed the safari update and took the opportunity to remove the battery.

The button was still sticking even with the battery out.
So that isnt the problem...
