Mouse Button Sticks

I have a unibody MacBook Pro with an external monitor, Apple Keyboard and Mighty Mouse. I'm working fine and then all of a sudden the mouse button starts sticking. The only way to release the mouse button is to click the trackpad.

I connected the Magic Mouse from the iMac and it experiences the same behavior. I use the Mighty Mouse on the iMac and it works fine. The problem only occurs when I connect a mouse to the keyboard. I've searched around and some users think it is linked to an external monitor and 10.6.4.

Anyone experience this issue and have a fix?
