Mouse Button Sticky

I've just noticed my MBP's mouse button is sticky. When i press down and release the button it sounds like the button is stuck on some sort of tape. I haven't spilled anything on it my MBP. Is there anyway i can clean it ??
any ideas what i can do???

This sticky mouse button is annoying!!

i just got this tip from someone in another thread
they said to use a mr. clean magic eraser for a sticky trackpad which i was also having trouble with
so i used it which immediately fixed my problem and surprisingly some of the liquid got underneath the mouse button and cured that too
just make sure that you dont get too much under there
