"Mouse Detected" "Detection lost"

I move around my entire house with my MacBook pro, and I have a Magic Mouse in my room for when I use it with my ATD. The bad news is that every 5 minutes or so I'm having to see "detection lost" "detection found" blah blah blah. Is there a way to turn these notifications off? I know the easiest solution is to turn off the mouse, but I always forget.
