In my OS 9 times it was a somewhat a simple matter to remove the rolling ball and clean it as well as the contact points. How do i clean a USB mouse ? When i turn the mouse over onto its back there is bright red light and i can't figure out how to or do clean it somehow ?

Even though a mouse pad is usually not needed with an optical mouse, sometimes you will see a difference when you have an erratic mouse. Even a plain sheet of white paper can work well as a test.
