Mouse isn't scrolling?

I'm not sure if its my computer or the mouse but my bluetooth MM won't let me use the scroller to scroll down the page. I try to scroll but the page is stuck and wont move unless I use the arrow at the side of the page. What could be the problem?

Turn it upside down on a piece of white paper lying on a hard flat surface then use a fair amount of pressure move the scroll ball around in a tight circular pattern.It should then be fine it has collected dirt in gubbins, a bit of a prob with the MM.

yeah check Apple's support site, there is an article on cleaning the MM. Apparently it gets dirty VERY easily
