My mouse is fairly new (1 year old) wireless laser logitech mouse. For some reason it just started double clicking automatically on my mac when I would single click. I don't think it has something to do with the mouse, but I may be wrong.

Do you have any driver for the mouse installed? In that case check the driver settings in the System Preferences. Most likely the left mouse button is for some reason set to double click (which is an option).

You could also try uninstall/install the drivers. Also try unplugging and pluggin in the transceiver if you haven't done that.

Hope it helps.
