Mouse locks up with a fast user switch

I have an Intuos2 graphic tablet and when I do a fast user switch to another account, the wireless mouse locks up and won't move from the middle of the screen. The tablet works with the pen, but the account that I'm switching to is my wife's and she doesn't like to use the graphic pen.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?
