Mouse not registering clicks

Hi guys,

I have a late 2011 17" MacBook Pro and for a few days now it started to not register some mouse clicks (1 in 4 or 5 clicks).

I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but it all started after I began using a Thunderbolt Display with the MBP.

The mouse is not the problem; i tried several mice, wired or wireless, even a Magic Mouse. They all behave the same.

The trackpad works just fine.

Does anybody have any idea what would be the cause of this?
