Mouse on Mac 9,1

I have an iMac9,1 , the mouse when clicked on the top keeps bringing up the widgets, all I want to do is select something on the screen.

There is no dirt, it's clean and a mouse mat is being used. It's really frustrating.

Currently it's set so the button on the sides when clicked displays all the windows open.

Maybe you have "Hot Corners" turned on?

Go to System Preferences/Mouse and you should be able to choose what the buttons on the mouse do.

I'm guessing you have the old mighty mouse right?
