Mouse problem while playing games (VM Ware)

Hi I am using VM Ware Fusion v1.1.3 to play games via Windows XP. When I go to play, my mouse doesn't work to well. In fact, it doesn't really work at all. I am trying to play older FPS style games, Deus Ex and System Shock 2, and the free look moves way to fast. Is there something I can do to fix this so I don't have to use the keyboard look?
