mouse problems lately

Lately I've been having problems with my BTMicro mouse, the right button fails to register a click. The left button, scroll wheel and pointer all function normally and right now the right button is working but it wasn't for sometime prior to my typing this. When it wasn't working I tried fresh batteries, reconnecting and gently shaking it. Anybody see anything like this?

BTW, my iBook is running 10.4.7 and is up to date as far as updates.
