Hi,

The scroll on my mouse will only work for up and right, not down or left. I was just wondering if there is a quick fix for this that anyone knows of, I cleaned a bit of dirt/dust build up out of it, but I have no idea how to actually open up the mouse, if you even can at all.

Is it just a matter of taking it apart and cleaning it, or will I need to buy a new mouse?

Any tips or help would be much appreciated as it's starting to frustrate me.

Regards,
Jinkst

If it's an Apple Mighty Mouse, do not try to take it apart! Instead find a nice sheet of white paper and turn the MM over onto the paper. Then rub the MM vigorously in all directions. This should dislodge any dust/dirt/gunk that is causing the problem. Hope this helps,
Morod

In other words, the wired Apple Mighty Mouse. This might help:

Thanks, I did as the site said, and it fixed the scrolling to the left problem, but I still as yet can't scroll down.

When I scroll up, left, or right, there is a distinct sound as I scroll, but when I scroll down, there is no sound, and no movement on the screen.

I'll keep doing this, hopefully it fixes it eventually, but it's getting even more frustrating and my arm is starting to hurt.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
