Mouse/Trackball gone after waking up

Hello there,

after upgrading to macOS 10.12.4, I have some issues with my USB trackball (Kensington), connected to my MBP 2016 via the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. When waking up from sleep, my bluetooth keyboard is still working, but the cursor is gone. I have to unplug and replug the trackball to get it back to life.

Is someone else having this issue?

I have a similar issue. My USB keyboard does not work after waking from sleep. I have to unplug and replug to get it working again. Happened right after installing 10.12.4 and I've not had the issue before that.

I had an issue with peripherals on wake-from-sleep after the 10.12.4 upgrade. For me it was external drives connected via Thunderbolt. After a tiresome period of troubleshooting, it was solved simply by unplugging the cable after powering down and connecting the drives via the other TB port. Ergo, do you have another port you could try connecting the trackball through?
