I am having a frustrating problem trying to zoom into pictures and PDFs in 'Preview' for MAC OS (Lion) using a mouse wheel. I have searched other forums and the answer is always 'how to zoom into using universal access screen zoom.'
I would like to clarify - I DO NOT WANT TO ZOOM INTO MY ENTIRE SCREEN, I WANT TO ZOOM INTO THE PICTURE OR PDF's OWN RESOLUTION, NOT THE SCREEN'S RESOLUTION.
I have been using Windows for 12 years and Mac for 2 years. The ability to zoom into pictures is easy and incredibly simple and useful when using Microsoft's default programs such as Windows Fax Viewer and Office Manager. I want the same ability on a mac, I don't mind holding down a key and scrolling if I have to, but clicking a magnifying glass + and - is time consuming, using the trackpad fancy features is distracting, why is it so hard just to scroll into a picture?
I am using a Dell mouse, all features in the mouse work normally. I do not want to buy a magic mouse because they are unnecessarily expensive and two I have owned have broke inside a 2 years. Some people have been saying you hold the ctrl key and zoom using magic mouse and it works? I can not remember this working before as its been ages since i used one.
Any suggestions?
