Hi, can someone help me with this weird issue I am facing.

every now and again (few days), my Logitech MX mouse scroll won't work (other functions of mouse works - i.e. pointer movement) . will stop of a sudden. I can still scroll down if I press the up/down key on keyboard.

when I reboot, the mouse works again. Is this a MacOs issue?

can anyone help with this please? its has happened twice again today. so random

funnily enough, if I unplug the usb dongle and plug back in, it works. does anyone know why this is happening?

is this apple's trick for me to get a trackpad?

Sounds like the Mac/OS is "putting the USB bus to sleep" when you don't want this.
This is a common problem for a lot of folks, you're not alone (although I haven't seen any earlier posts about Logitech mice slipping away to slumber).

What version of the OS are you using?

There is a choice to "put hard disks to sleep when possible" (something like that). I would TURN OFF that option.

I am using the latest one, but will double check.

I found another issue where using PowerPoint the down key does not switch between slides? But the scroll button on more does.

Any ideas?

using MacOS Ventura 13.5.2.

the scrolling stopped again. had to unplug USB dongle and plug back in to get it working
