Mousemat Material

I'm looking to buy a big chunk of the material they use for mouse mats. I want to be able to cut it to shape of my desk so I can have the mouse mat material covering all of my desk and then I'll put all items on top so it's one GIANT mouse mat.

Anybody know where I can buy the material or know what the name of the material is?

I would think that any material that allows proper mouse tracking would be just fine. I have three different mouse pads, and all three appear to be made of different stuff.
