Move address book from windows to Macbookpro

I followed the Apple help instructions and moved my address book from my PC to my MacbookPro in a file of .vcf records called Address Book to Move. But I can't figure out how to add the entire 500 addresses at once to the Mac address book. It will let me do it one at time, but how do you do them all. I have tried selecting all and then dragging to the Address Book, but nothing happened. What am I missing. Thanks Ed
