Hello,

ive been searching for a script, hopefully using automator, to move the entire contents of a specific folder to another folder?

its that simple ..

any maybe saving it as an app, so i can double click it, and like magic it transfers all the files in that existing folder to another,

I've tried using automator / Find Finder Items (select folder) / and then / Move Finder Items ..but i keep getting warnings and errors back

many thanks in advance,

stuart

Have you tried any other Finder actions like Ask for Finder Items or Get Specified Finder Items? A screenshot of any warnings and errors might be useful for others trying to help. You can also try shortcuts

thank you for your quick reply - it used to work ! but suddenly stopped, I've attached a screen shot,

yeah I've tried endless scenarios haha - but can't get rid of the warnings - I've checked privacy settings to make sure the app has access to the selected folders too

thanks in advance again,

kind regards - stuart Untitled.png

Remove the Find Finder Items action. Save moveMB.app. Select all files in folder B3 and drop on moveMB.app. Does that work? What's the result of the first action? You can click result to expand.

yes! weirdly it did! - but there was no results to display

Get Specified Finder Items, add your B3 folder --> Get Folder Contents --> Move Finder Items.
your a genius - you've literally made my day - spent endless nights trying different scenarios and searching for apple scripts - forums to solve this - can't thank you enough ! ... its such little workflows like this that make daily life so much easier, thank you again :)
