Consistently my daily move ring calories are more than the Active Energy calories shown on Apple Health. I could understand Active Energy being more (it could include active calories from non-Apple Watch activity) but I don't see how calories that are part of your move ring are not active energy calories. This isn't a syncing issue (this goes back for a long time). It is not a matter of problems with workouts. I have no workouts. This is just move calories obtained from ordinary daily activity.

In the last 2 months, there are 2 days where the move ring calories are equal to the active energy calories shown in Apple help. On all other days, the move ring calories are more than those for active energy.

Also -- assuming that is correct what is my total calorie burn? Is it active energy + resting energy in Apple Health. Or is it move ring calories + resting energy in Apple Health?

I tried to research this and found lots of stuff that equates move ring calories and active energy and assumes they are the same. I also found lots of stuff about why active energy in Apple Health could be more than move ring calories. I didn't find anything talking about move ring calories being less than active energy. And, nothing indicating how to determine total calories when they are.

I don’t know what causes it, but mine is the same. I do workout daily though but my totals are different also.
