Thanks in advance for helping me make a smooth transition!

I have an early 2009 17" MBP, into which I installed a 640 MB, 7200 RPM HD a few months ago.

I am buying a new 2011 MBP, either the 15" hi-res AG, or the 17" glossy (the model isn't really germane to my question, though).

I have two OWC external HDs, that run on FW800, one a 320 GB and one a 750 GB that I just got. I have about 300 GB of used space on my 2009 MBP.

So thanks for reading all that, to get it out of the way.

I would like to be able to transfer my 750 GB 7200 RPM HD from the 2009 MBP to the 2011 MBP. I realize the system software on the new MBP is different than the SL software on my current MBP. I have SuperDuper, and am guessing that I can somehow juggle the data via cloning, but haven't done this before.

I greatly appreciate input and/or advice on getting this done as painlessly as possible. Thanks!
