I currently have an iPhone and a laptop connect card on an AT&T family plan, but I want to move these two devices to a new plan (separate from the family plan) without having to pay two $175 cancellation fees. How should I approach this and has anyone else had a similar experience?

I moved from my Mom's business plan to my own family plan with my wife (she came from her parent's plan). We had to pay $25 per line to create a new "family", but then we were magically elgible for upgrade. That was sping of 2007 so things may have changed.
Be nice to the people at AT&T, it has gotten me alot in the past. Plus I have always dealt with business care at AT&T so they may be different.
