Starting about 3 days go, my move ring/calories on my Apple Watch Series 4 are not updating. Or, I should say, are barely updating.

The last three days in a row, my move ring has showed anywhere between 3-8 calories burned for the entire day!

My stand and exercise rings are updating normally.

I have tried restarting my watch, un-pairing and re-pairing (both from a backup and setting up as new), but the issue continues into the 4th day now.

Has anyone had this issue before and found a resolution?

I once had a similar issue where I had accidentally gotten sunscreen on the back of the watch, preventing accurate readings. If you haven’t cleaned the back where the sensors are I would try that.

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately the sensor is clean - I've even done multiple workouts the past few days and my heart rate readings are accurate.

Exercise and stand minutes register normally, but I'm only getting credit for about 1 calorie burned for every 4-5 hours.

The watch seems to not be calculating calories burned accurately (or at all). For instance yesterday I ended my day with 12/12 stand hours counted, and 12 minutes of exercise showing. But the watch shows I only burned 9 calories for the entire day.

Have you checked to make sure your height, weight, etc... are still configured accurately? My wife's watch somehow got changed and experienced weird ring activity until that was updated.

Just checked - height and weight are configured properly.

Does the heart rate sensor work? is the light on when doing a workout?

Have you uninstalled any 3rd party apps on the phone that use the heart rate sensor?

HR sensor works and measures my heart rate just fine. Haven’t installed or uninstalled any apps like that recently that I know of.
